Acropora Hyacinthus Lighting

The lighting requirements for acropora hyacinthus is strict and must be followed. The metal halide lights are really what are most useful in keeping these corals happy and healthy. This coral demands a great deal of light and the metal halide lights are the best way to meet this requirement. If intense light is not provided then the coral will begin to lose its color. If you see this occurring then you know it is a sign that the acropora hyacinthus is not receiving sufficient light.

Acropora Hyacinthus And Water Flow

The water flow requirements for the acropora hyacinthus is incredibly high. In fact, you must focus on having the right kind of lighting and the right kind of flow to ensure the coral develops properly. The water flow needs to be strong, but it should also be indirect. As water quality is concerned it is important to ensure that quality is excellent and that it is not allowed to vary.

Acropora Hyacinthus And Stability

Ensuring that the water is stable will assist the acropora to develop and grow. The water will need to have additives including calcium, magnesium, phosphate, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, and the like. Overall, caring for this particular coral is difficult and it is not recommended for beginners or those who make lots of mistakes before they get it right. With this particular coral, mistakes with lighting, current, or water quality could easily kill the coral and that why it is such a difficult coral to care for.
