Blue Acropora Lighting In The Reef Aquarium

Blue acropora is beautiful coral that may have all shades of blue and even green. The environment will affect the actual coloration of the blue acropora. In general, blue acropora grows pretty fast and it will certainly brighten up your aquarium in ways you never imagined.

Blue Acropora And Trace Elements

To continue caring for the blue acropora in a way that will promote good health and growth then you will need to add trace elements to the water in addition to strontium and calcium. Food should be fed to the blue acropora at least once per week.

Feeding Blue Acropora In The Reef Aquarium

The food that should be used is special food for invertebrates that are filter feeders or micro-plankton. If you receive a piece of blue acropora then you will need to mount its plug onto a live rock somewhere in the aquarium. You should use a super glue gel to connect the composite plug to the rock being very careful not to touch the blue acropora or else you could see it dissolve in a matter of days.

Blue Acropora Temperature

The blue acropora is not difficult to care for, but it is not easy either. It does have a rather peaceful temperament and requires medium to high lights. The water current must be quite strong and the temperature should be 72 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

Blue Acropora Moderate Difficulty In The Reef Aquarium

Since the blue acropora is a moderate care coral it is not one you will want to start out with in your aquarium. Instead, you should begin with an easier beginner coral that will prepare you for working with blue acropora. Of course, once you are prepared to handle blue acropora you will find that it is a wonderful and beautiful addition to your aquarium.
