With an estimated 1500 and possibly over 2000 species of fish surrounding this area, Great Barrier Reef fish leave even the most experienced SCUBA diver and snorkel expert in absolute awe. It is entirely possible to find at least 200 species in just one hectare of area. Some of these common fishes are Damselfish, Wrasse, Butterfly Fish, Angelfish, Groupers, Basslets, Parrotfish, Surgeonfish, Clownfish and Blennies, just to name a few.

The incredibly diverse colors, shapes and sizes of fish in this area make it a truly unique area to visit and view. From the beautiful orange and white striped Clownfish (made famous by the movie Finding Nemo) to the incredibly tiny Blennies (usually only 5 to 12 cm in size when full grown), Great Barrier Reef fish can make even the most experienced diver stop and stare in awe at their beauty.
